When we started Gbooks, we kept hearing the same story from operators in wildly different industries. A clinic ran one system for records, another for billing, and a spreadsheet to reconcile the two. A restaurant group had a POS that had never met its inventory tool. A factory knew its production numbers and its finance numbers, but not at the same time. The vocabulary changed between them. The pain did not.
So we took a contrarian bet. Instead of building yet another point solution and calling the gaps someone else's integration problem, we would build one connected core that could flex into eight industries — sharing a single data model, one security posture and one reporting layer underneath. This is what that decision cost us, and what it bought the businesses running on it.
